This is such a hectic and stressful time. We've got some family things going on, school stuff and today alone I got home at 3:00, and have been baking ever since. I just finished. I made 2 loaves of Beer Bread for the Classified Luncheon tomorrow and two dozen Strawberry Cupcakes with homemade frosting....
It's time to just sit back and relax.

Discouraged
Well, I was looking at what I'd need to do to get my teaching credential in the state of Texas. UGH.... I have to take yet another CSET like test. That test was just awful. There are certain states that have the equivalent test that Texas has... unfortunately, California's test isn't on that list. I don't know why, because it's suppose to be one of the harder tests to pass. I'm still going to try and see if they will accept my credential and testing...

CST
Well this is the week for our California State Testing. So far my kids are doing well as far as I know. They are remaining focused during testing and I believe they are trying their best! They are staying quiet and respectful! This is the first year for my second graders taking the state test. So this is a big deal for them.
After the test each day, we've been working on some fun craft projects. We've made mother's day frames/recipe holders. We also celebrated Cinco De Mayo. We made tortilla chips and they had a choice of salsa to dunk or cinnamon/sugar mix to make them sweet. They just had a BLAST! Tomorrow we wrap our mother's day gifts and time review.

What a week(end)
Friend in Car accident Friday, here in down. Saturday evening: Had to pick up her parents from airport and keep tabs on her until they got here.
Blood Work Saturday... got in much later than expected.
Funeral in Fresno. Missed it (GGRRRRRR, it's been weighing on my heart). I didn't get there in time because of the blood work. (Would have blown blood work off, but dr. insisted that I get it done now.) So I had to turn around and go to Lemoore for
Little C's ear surgery (he's 4). Needed to be there when he woke up.
Finally ended up home.
NUTS!
Sunday: Slept until 10. That is the latest I've slept-in in years. Between the stress of this weekend and the stress and sleepless nights of a new puppy (it is getting better), it finally took it's tole. I pulled my peck mustles yesterday somehow and it makes it very hard to move.
Got to go see a co-worker's baby so that was a nice treat.
Now, I am just going to sit and just be....
Other News: I didn't post but last week we got a puppy. He is a Yellow Lab named Pudge. He will be 8 weeks old this Tuesday. He's been a handful much like a new baby. Though only 7 weeks old he knows the word no very well. HA! He continues to grow and change each day. I'll attach a picture (2 days after we got him).

Send your good thoughts and prayers
A friend of mine who's mother has been battling cancer for a few years now, has lost the fight. She passed on this morning. Please send your good thoughts/prayers. My friend and her family need them right now.
Quick Happy thought about my friends mom. When my friend and I were little our dad's use to do baseball card and collectable shows. My friend and I would always go and play together while our dad's did there thing. My friends mom would always go to Mc Donalds and bring us back happy meals for us to share with our Barbies as we sat and played under the tables.
