Love you, for who you are. YOU are enough.

My cousin over at House For Five has joined the I am Brave and Beautiful – a beauty movement that is sweeping the globe, that was started by  Colbie Caillat with her new song and video called Try.

Colbie’s song says, “Take your make up off. Let your hair down… Look into the mirror at yourself, Do you like you? Cause I like you… “

Megan from http://www.brassyapple.com/ and her friend over at http://peacefrom6pieces.blogspot.com/ teamed up to push this movement further. Their worldwide vision included creating their own video inspired by the song TRY and the talent of Robbins Creative made it possible for them to pull it off.  You have to click play and see the beauty and bravery displayed....you might even recognize a few faces in there.

101+ other blogging women from different backgrounds, religions, ethnicities, ages, shapes and sizes have decided to be Brave and Beautiful! You can join in this movement too by sharing what you look like without makeup on. You don’t need a blog either! Just tag your photo with #IamBraveAndBeautiful on Instgram and search the hashtag to see who else has joined in. ALSO, if you tag it with a second hashtag –#ColbieTRY we just might be able to get Colbie Caillat’s attention since she was the inspiration behind it all! If you don’t want to share your own photo you can still do some good by SHARING this post. Facebook it, tweet it, Instagram it +1 it, and Pin it. Tell your friends, tag your girlfriends, your sisters, your mom, your daughter(s)….When we share goodness it comes back to us in ways that we might not expect.
Are you brave and beautiful? I am, here I go! No filter, no make up... Just me!

I am not the most secure person... like everyone else, I have things I need to work on. I need to drop about a million pounds, I've got dark circles under my eyes, I have... wrinkles, and it would be easy for me to keep going on and on... but I won't. I am enough, I am beautiful, no matter what I look like, with or without makeup. My actions, my character, and my words, that is what makes me beautiful in the most important way.

Fall is here!

Being a teacher doesn't leave time for to much else in my life, but I made sure to carve out some time today to decorate a little for Fall, Halloween specifically. I love to find seasonal decor pieces that I can transition from Halloween to Thanksgiving, however I feel you always have to have some Halloween specific goodies as well. Here is a photo of all of the goodies I have put out...so far... to decorate my home.

1. This cute Witch on a Pumpkin banner is from TJ Maxx, last season. 2. I used the wreath I already had on the wall of our entry way and added some black felt bat garland from my local grocery store. The black Sparkly "Beware" sign is from a local gift shop that I found onsale this year for $2.99. The basket stays there all year long and holds our keys and dog leashes. 3. The large metal jack-o-lanterns with handle was a Home Goods find last season. This will hold candy for all the cute trick or treaters we get this year. The little orange felt pumpkin is from the $1 section at Target this year. I bought an orange cranberry and green pumpkin. I'm saving the other to for Thanksgiving. 4. I am burning Sweater Weather right now from Bath and Body Works. The smell reminds me of the sweet, crisp, cool fall days, and it's perfect for this transition into the cooler weather. 5. I just bought these two nice fabric pumpkins by Poofy Cheeks, from a local gift shop along with the cute bat. 6. These are spider votive candle holders. These are adorable and I found them at Big Lots years ago for $2 a piece. I bought two. The little orange candle holders were from Target last season, I got on sale after the holiday. 7. This silly little guy is a candy holder. His head is actually a bowl. He is sitting on one of our speakers next to my entertainment center. *Unnumbered: OOPS I forgot to number the photo with the pillows. I swapped out my turquoise pillows for some that match the colors of the season. The pumpkin pillow I got at a craft show at someone's house 2 years ago and the larger pillow is from TJ Maxx, last year.

Hope you enjoyed my little Halloween Decor post. When do you start decorating, and how do you decorate?

Shining Star

Went to an amazing store called Harper Jo's (http://www.harperjoandcompany.com/) and found this amazing light up star! It's adorable and just what I have been looking for!

As you can see Pudge likes it too!

I will post photos when we hang it up!
